This report is focused on critical infrastructure protection and on risk analysis to promote discussions and provide information about new trends and insights.The report includes: 1) analysis of how protection goals are handled in eight countries: Australia; Canada; Germany; Netherlands; Norway; Sweden; the United Kingdom; and the United States; 2) evaluation of these practices with regards to the above questions and comparison them to the three-level Swiss National Platform for Natural Hazards model. The report has shown that protection goals vary with regard to their specificity and purpose.
