This policy brief looks at the land tenure conflicts related to mining in Tanzania. Accorging to the author, the nation needs to focus on building strong institutions, merging the land open to mining, empowering small-scale miners, and making strides towards an industry owned by residents. All of this combined could make a difference in attaining national priority outcomes.
