This Shockwatch Bulletin examines the global macro-economic situation and provides a vulnerability assessment using case studies before putting forth policy recommendation. The authors assess the degree of vulnerability of a selected sample of three countries - Cambodia, Kenya and Zambia - to the three current major global shocks - the euro zone crisis, China’s and India’s growth slow-down, and energy price increases – by examining how these developing countries have been affected by the recent shocks and how they have responded.
