This paper explores options for financing some of the potential post-2015 development goals. It focuses on five sectors which are likely to be included within any successor to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): education, health, water and sanitation (WATSAN), sustainable energy, and food security/nutrition/agriculture. In each sector, the paper reviews the literature to identify potential goals which may emerge. The authors conclude by identifying a number of options for the international community when considering which goals should be included in the post-2015 framework and how they should be financed.
