This article examines Switzerland's role in peace promotion and highlights developments that have led it to become an active and competent actor in peace and human rights policy. Nevertheless, it suggests that the country could improve by developing a comprehensive strategy, maintaining and building human resources, increasing cooperation with both domestic and international partners, and by developing a clearer communication strategy.
