This issue brief explores how Myanmar is handling its relationships with China, and vice versa. Although it took China some time to adjust to the changing realities within Myanmar domestically and in Myanmar's interaction with the world, the author argues that it has to be acknowledged that China has acted with a great deal of maturity, calmness and statesmanship. In conclusion, he writes that, given China's geographical location and its rising assertiveness based on growing comprehensive national power, Myanmar will always try its best to keep China in good humor.
