This issue focuses on conflict case studies in the Central African Republic, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria and South Sudan, and provides further analysis on the types of conflict found across the African continent. The study identifies the actors involved in different types of conflict, major trends for each category, and the links between them. The authors also consider how methodology and data can help researchers understand African conflicts.
