This brief examines the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH). It argues that MINUSTAH is doing an important job in the country, partly as it provides one of the few links for local actors to national government and international actors. However, the authors suggest that the mission needs to further support local participation in national policy processes. The brief provides a number of other recommendations for the mission.
