This publication provides information on conflict trends and dynamics in Africa. This issue profiles the escalation of unrest in Egypt, ongoing violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo's Katanga Province, and continuing communal violence in Kenya. The escalating conflict in Somalia’s cities and the upcoming elections in Mali and Zimbabwe are also explored.
