This paper discusses potential employment indicators for a post-2015 framework. It first assesses the strengths and weaknesses of relevant Millennium Development Goal (MDG) indicators and then identifies major employment challenges. The paper re-endorses certain aspects of the MDG framework, suggests a number of modifications to the system, and proposes a number of new indicators.
