This article summarizes a meeting of experts in 2012 on gender training for the military and integrating gender issues into military operations. It outlines the importance of good practices in teaching gender concepts and content to the military, employing gender‐responsive teaching practices, a respectful learning environment, and institutional practices to support gender education.
