This article summarizes a meeting of experts in 2012 on military education, gender training for the military and integrating gender in military operations. It outlines some recommended practices in teaching gender concepts and content to the military, employing gender‐responsive teaching practices, highlighting the importance of mainstreaming gender learning across the curricula, and non-gender-biased teaching methods and assessments in military.
