This paper takes a look at the ongoing unrest in the Central African Republic and mounting tension in the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo. It further explores the conflict dynamics in Ethiopia and analyzes developments towards the resolution of the Jubaland crisis and violence in Somalia. Finally, it looks at the emerging phenomenon of communal vigilante groups in Nigeria.
