This is a report of a two-day conference on the triggers of potential conflict and cooperation in Africa. Specifically, it looks at food security, demographic patterns, political and institutional shocks and conflicts on the continent. It also looks at youth and unemployment, violence in urban areas, Islamist groups, elections and social conflict, national constitutional design, and challenges for the US in Africa.
