This report maps out the growing field of actors working on development-related questions of natural resource governance and evaluates their value as a potential partner for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a German provider of international cooperation services for sustainable development. The authors provide a tool for profiling actors in natural resource governance according to their agenda, arena, assets and alliance. They conclude by discussing current and possible future challenges to resource governance and identify areas requiring more research.
