This report examines political violence in Africa in November 2013. Specifically, it looks at: 1) the intensification of violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo between international and national security forces and the M23, 2) the persistence of violence in Mali, 3) the collapse of the peace agreement in Mozambique, 4) ongoing unrest and attacks in Nigeria, as well as 5) rising unrest in Tunisia. The report also provides an update on the protest and violence levels in Namibia and Algeria.
