This study explores whether a diversification of payments would enhance climate benefits in the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) program. The findings indicate that financial resources spent on a mixture of carbon and biodiversity payments provide greater climate benefits than an equal amount spent on carbon payments alone.
