This report investigates the general level of labor-market and non-market activities among people aged 50+ in Europe and how they adapt to societal transitions. The authors study labor market participation, social engagement, beliefs, education, religious activities, housework and personal traits of this demographic in a number of European countries to determine the impact of different welfare regimes. The report also includes examples of the successful implementation of policies in support of the elderly.
