This policy brief talks about the way the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) identifies and documents best practices that lead to good governance, sustained development, economic growth and enhanced integration on the continent. The author argues that this tool is underused by the APRM. He then provides a number of recommendations on how the ARPM can improve its use of best practices.
