Using the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership between the EU and US as an example, this policy brief looks at the advantages and disadvantages of increased in preferential trade agreements and partnerships for the global economy. The author argues that the potential benefits of preferential trade agreements outweigh concerns over decreasing multilateral trade cooperation.
