This brief discusses Africa's position in WTO negotiations and proposes a strategy for Africa to influence WTO ministerial conference outcomes to its advantage. After analyzing some changes in the global political economy and their effect on WTO negotiations, the author recommends African states to partner and cooperate with developed and emerging economies on the basis of common interests to advance African interests in WTO negotiations.
