This paper provides an overview of political violence in Africa from January 2012 to December 2013. It shows the countries in which political violence has increased, decreased or seen no change. It particularly focuses on political violence trends in, North Africa, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Somalia and South Sudan.
