This paper talks about the Syrian civil war, including US policy toward it, the importance of how Assad is removed from power as well as the perspectives of neighboring states China and Russia on the conflict. The author ends the piece by providing recommendations for US engagement with the international stakeholders involved in the conflict, the refugees created by it, and the different parties involved in the civil war.
