This paper discusses Malawi’s Open Aid Map, which provides a publicly available picture of development aid activities in the country alongside information on development indicators such as poverty and population density. The authors say that the map is a major breakthrough in aid transparency as it makes aid data accessible to and usable for a wide array of development stakeholders.
