This commentary examines the implications of the European parliamentary elections in May 2014 for the future of the European integration project. The author outlines the potential problems and likely scenarios that may result from the elections for further European integration prospects and concludes by setting out the challenges the newly elected Parliament and Commission are likely to face in the future.
