This paper examines the World Bank’s new Program for Results (PforR) instrument, which links the flow of assistance to development achievements. The authors also develop a classification system for Disbursement Linked Indicators and apply it to the first four PforR operations in Nepal, Uruguay, Morocco and Tanzania.
