Using the results of a public opinion survey, this paper discusses how the Botswanan public view the economic management of their country and their standard of living in 2012. The results show that the public sees a discrepancy between their country’s economic performance and the way the government manages the economy and its performance in improving living standards, revealing that people in Botswana do not feel that the country’s economic performance translates into improved social conditions.
