This paper presents the results of a public opinion survey of Tanzanians’ attitudes towards the regional East African integration (East African Community) and federation (East Africa Federation) projects. The survey reveals that, despite little or no knowledge of the proposed Federation of East African states, Tanzanians generally support the plans for economic integration. However, it also reveals that a high proportion of respondents disapprove of regional political and military integration.
