This journal features articles that address a wide variety of different topics on the nature of conflict, with a particular focus on counterinsurgency, organized crime, terrorism and regional stability. Some of the topics covered in this issue include 1) the threat criminal organizations pose to individual, state, regional and transnational security; 2) state failure in Central Asia and what the US can do to prevent it; 3) NGO-military cooperation during conflict, post-conflict situations and humanitarian operations; 4) the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP ) insurgency; and 5) the influence of family, ethnic and religious-based networks in Nigeria.
