This paper examines what the US Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC’s) could do to expand its efforts in the fight against global poverty. In particular, it examines the case for and against the establishment of grants to regions and sub-national areas that would fund solutions for reducing poverty through sustainable economic growth, including the practical challenges associated with these possible schemes and the MCC’s policy options for pursuing them.
