This paper looks at how international public funding is accessed by countries to secure public policy goals for dealing with climate change. In particular, the author looks at the attempts of Sub-Saharan African countries to secure funding from 1) The Adaptation Fund launched in 2007; 2) The Global Fund, established in 2000; 3) The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation, launched in 2000; 4) The Green Climate Fund, launched in 2011.
