This brief discusses the most significant events shaping US-North Korea relations in 2014 and examines whether these events indicate that relations between the countries are likely to change drastically in the near future. Overall, the author contends that the possibility of a "reset" in the relations between the two countries is unlikely and the prospect of dialogue remains remote as long as the impasse over North Korea's denuclearization continues.
