This issue provides an overview of conflict trends in a number of African countries up to July 2014. In particular, the authors examine 1) the threat posed by Boko Haram's activities in Cameroon; 2) the reduction in hostilities in Mozambique; 3) the ongoing crisis in Somalia; and 4) the escalation of conflict in South Sudan and Uganda.
