In particular, the authors examine the de-escalation of violence and the potential for future violence in the run-up to elections in 2015 in Burundi, as well as the ongoing instability in Egypt, Nigeria, Sudan and Zambia. This issue also discusses the escalation of fighting in Libya and explores some of the militias and other actors involved in the conflict in the country.
