This paper looks at digital activism in Lebanon and the benefits and disadvantages of the digital and social media tools used for it. The authors find that digital activism in Lebanon is on the rise and that social media platforms offer many perceived benefits for activism work, but also create significant obstacles in both the digital and offline realms. They conclude by offering some recommendations on how to bolster the efficacy of digital activism in Lebanon.
