This paper examines why enthusiasm for the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), which assists states party to it to identify and eradicate governance problems, is waning and when this development started. The author also provides recommendations for Zambia’s civil society actors, the government and the country’s development partners on how to overcome the challenges facing the APRM process in Zambia.
