This paper argues that the Indo-Pacific should be recognized as a coherent strategic geopolitical construct. The author then analyzes 1) how the Indo-Pacific construct is different from the earlier Asia-Pacific one; 2) why the US should be interested in this new construct; and 3) how India should define its role in it.
