This paper examines the effect of financial sector regulation in Kenya on the stability of country’s financial sector and the level of inclusive growth. In particular, the author examines 1) the size of the financial sector; 2) the role of foreign and state-owned banks as well as development finance institutions in the country; 3) the level of financial inclusion; 4) the level of access people have to finance; 5) bank regulation; and 6) the management of capital flows.
