This paper discusses how Russia's grand strategy has evolved during Vladimir Putin’s second term as President. The author contends that the evolution is a partial one and that although Moscow now accepts the realities of an increasingly multipolar world, it’s also hell bent on preserving what it sees as its vital spheres of influence.
