This article discusses how American diplomat Henry Kissinger’s views on diplomacy evolved over time. The author argues that Kissinger’s latest work confirms that 1) he has less faith in historical precedents, and 2) he believes that stability in a post-Western world will depend on accommodating value systems as much as power politics.
