This article looks at the emerging economies known as the Post-China 16 - countries which could replace China as the world's low-cost, export-oriented economic centers - and assesses whether they could benefit from the global financial crisis. In general, the author contends that these countries could benefit as they not only have a readily available labor force, they have also enacted policies that allow them to exploit their political, regulatory and geographical advantages.
