This paper provides an overview of the EU sanctions policy applied to Russia in the wake of the 2014 Ukraine crisis as well as how Russia responded has by imposing with own trade sanctions on the EU. The author also conducts a strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis of the EU sanctions against Russia.
