This article examines the developing strategic dynamic between China, Iran and the United States in 2014. The author argues that Beijing’s ever-growing need for energy security, Tehran’s desire to end crippling sanctions, and Washington’s determination to keep China’s global ambitions in check are creating a strategic triangle that bodes well for peace and stability in the Middle East and Asia.
