This article discusses the approach of China, Taiwan and the US to cross-strait relations between China and Taiwan. The author argues, that although the three countries appear to be relatively comfortable with cross-strait relations as they stand, there should be no illusions about China's stance: Beijing remains determined to unite Taiwan with the Chinese mainland.
