This paper investigates policy initiatives to keep older workers in employment in Denmark. The author discusses aspects central to a long working life, such as health, lifelong learning, and age management practices in companies, arguing that, overall, Denmark is in a relatively good state when it comes to older workers’ labor market participation and related job satisfaction. He also says, however, that age discrimination is a potential problem and that people who fall into unemployment at a late stage of their careers still face challenges to reemployment.
