This article examines the strategic calculations of India and Pakistan in the restive regions of Kashmir and Afghanistan. The author argues that the countries' soft power projections may prove to be a confidence-building measure between Islamabad and New Delhi, although the long-term impact upon regional security dynamics remains unclear.
