This brief explores why aid for climate change adaptation and mitigation is important for addressing the vulnerabilities of countries in Africa. The author also examines how climate-related activities within development aid programs are identified and tracked as well as the challenges involved in the assessment of the effectiveness of mitigation and adaptation activities aimed at reducing vulnerability.
