This article discusses the extent to which Muslim leaders and Salafist preachers support the tenets and Islamic interpretations of the Islamic State. The author argues that even if IS enjoy little support from Muslim leaders and preachers, these religious leaders do not stop young Muslims from making their way to IS strongholds in Iraq and Syria.
