This issue provides an overview of conflict trends in a number of African countries up to February 2015. In particular, the authors examine 1) continued violence against civilians in the Democratic Republic of Congo; 2) political alliances and localized conflict in Libya; 3) the efforts by transnational actors to combat against Boko Haram in Nigeria; 4) the effect of the numerous peace agreements reached across Africa during the first half of the 2010s; 5) the state conflict in South Sudan; and 6) the diffusion and sharp rise in protest activity across Southern Tunisia. It also includes an article on the use of rape as a weapon of political violence across Africa.
