This issue provides an overview of conflict trends in a number of African countries up to April 2015. Among other issues, the authors examine 1) the ongoing intervention of French Military Forces in West Africa; 2) Islamist militancy and counter insurgency strategies in North Africa; 3) an analysis of violence surrounding the March 2015 presidential elections in Nigeria; 4) student-led protests in South Africa and targeted violence against foreign nationals; and 5) the targeting of children in conflict zones.
